Pollution is a Danger to our Health and Climate

And gasoline is one of the biggest culprits. Every gallon of gas burned emits 20 pounds of carbon dioxide.

Vehicle emissions account for 80% of smog-causing air pollution. They increase risks of asthma, heart and lung disease, dementia and cancers – especially in children and for those who live near busy roads or commute long distances.

More Americans die each year from vehicle emissions than from vehicle crashes or secondhand smoke.

Just like with the anti-smoking campaign, we need to change the culture on gas.

Coltura is an award-winning nonprofit combining art and political activism to fight pollution with a laser-focus on phasing out gasoline in the US. There’s a lot of misinformation about gasoline out there. We need help all the help we can get to share the facts about gas.

Pollution isn’t waiting. You shouldn’t either.
